Toni Principe MSW, LICSW

Counseling + Clinical Supervision

I’m a licensed independent clinical social worker providing psychotherapy for adults (18+). I offer in-person therapy at my Olympia office, with the options of traditional talk therapy or “walk & talk” therapy. I am also able to provide virtual therapy to all Washington residents. My focus areas include grief work and relational trauma (more commonly referred to as complex PTSD or interpersonal trauma).

I strive to assist people from all backgrounds in understanding and embracing their inherent power so that they feel confident and supported in their journey for self-exploration, growth, and adaptation to all that life throws our way. Often, my clients and I work together to explore and process attachment wounds, relational struggles, shame, identity, self image/esteem, fawning behaviors, grief and loss. I believe that the therapeutic process is different for each individual, and that creating a safe and supportive space for others to be free to explore their vulnerabilities and self-awareness is vital.

““We do not have to romanticize our past in order to be aware of how it seeds our present. We do not have to suffer the waste of an amnesia that robs us of the lessons of the past rather than permit us to read them with pride as well as deep understanding. We know what it is to be lied to, and we know how important it is not lie to ourselves. We are powerful because we have survived, and that is what it is all about—survival and growth.”
